Cable grippers are used to secure wire rope quickly, neatly and adjustably within a suspension system. During installation, the gripper locks onto the wire rope while allowing its position to be adjusted, so the suspended object can be aligned accurately. This makes cable grippers suitable for applications including lighting, panels, displays, profiles, signage and other interior suspension projects.
First check the diameter of the wire rope, followed by the required connection type – such as ceiling, profile, light fitting or another structure – and the thread size. A ceiling attachment is used when the suspension cable is fixed directly to the ceiling and can be combined with a cable gripper at the lower end for precise height adjustment.
Not every wire rope is compatible with every cable gripper, so always check the specifications of both components. Do you also need a suitable cable? View our wire ropes for suspension systems.

The terms are sometimes used interchangeably. A cable gripper or wire rope gripper specifically refers to the component that grips the wire rope and allows its position to be adjusted. System gripper is a broader term for this type of gripper when used as part of a complete suspension system.
This depends on the design of the gripper. Each cable gripper is intended for a specific wire rope diameter or diameter range, so always check the specified dimensions of both components.
